Cursillo 
To explain Cursillo to someone who has never experienced Cursillo is at best, difficult. Often, for those who have experienced Cursillo it is still somewhat mystifying. This is not because the Cursillo Movement is a “secret” organization. The reason behind the mystery is God. No one can fully explain how God touches each person in His special / unique way throughout the various elements of the Cursillo Movement.
Cursillo (pronounced kur-see-yo) is a Spanish word meaning a short course. It is an abbreviated form of Cursillo de Cristiandad (short course to prepare Christians). It is not a theoretical course, nor is it a retreat. It is first and foremost an experience. It must be lived. It is a life-changing experience, which brings with it the discovery of the basis of Christianity and its fundamental significance to our lives.

Emmaus
Emmaus is a weekend retreat program for people who are seeking to grow in their relationship with Christ, regardless of their present level of faith and practice.
The purpose of the weekend is to give young adults an opportunity to reflect upon themselves and their relationship with God and their community. Emmaus is a Catholic retreat program that is open to people of all Christian faiths.
Emmaus provides its participants with the opportunity to experience and share their faith journeys in a loving community. Time is set aside during the weekend for personal reflection concerning one’s life, one’s world, and one’s God.

Youth Retreats
ECHO 
ECHO, Encountering Christ in Others, has been active on the Cape and Islands for over thirty-five years. This teen weekend retreat program is open to all high school juniors and seniors who are seeking to deepen their faith and enhance their relationship with Jesus.

YES! Retreat
The YES! Retreat program provides high school youth who are seeking a closer relationship with God with an opportunity to encounter God through the sharing of sacraments, fellowship, a closer examination of self and relationships with others in community and finally, a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.

Christian Leadership Institute – CLI
The Christian Leadership Institute, sponsored by the Office of Faith Formation, of the Diocese of Fall River, is a week long leadership training experience for high school age youth. C.L.I. seeks to foster the leadership potential of young men and women and to heighten each young person’s awareness of leadership and ministerial roles and responsibilities in the parish and high school setting. CLI celebrated our 22nd anniversary in 2010.
