Life Teen
A Movement of the Holy Spirit.
Life Teen is an international Catholic movement that serves the Church by providing resources and faith experiences that help lead teens closer to Christ. This is accomplished through a vibrant Eucharistic spirituality and by creating opportunities for teens to grow in their faith.
In the past two decades, Life Teen has grown into one of the most prolific Catholic youth ministry programs in the world.
Life Teen Mass
The Life Teen Mass is held on Sunday’s at St. Mary’s Parish at 5pm. As the Eucharist is the source and summit of our lives, the Mass is at the center – and is the most important element of Life Teen. The Life Teen Mass is specifically intended for teens. The music, homily and worship are all directed toward and focus on teenagers. All of the various services involved with the Mass are done by the teens.
- T3 Cards
The T3 card serves multiple puposes and are dropped in the collection basket during the offertory. The offertory is such an important part of the mass. This is the time where eveyone in the community brings forth and places upon the altar all that they want to “offer God” so that in communion we can pray for each others needs.
T3 Cards stand for Time, Talent, and Treasure. As youth of the church we want you to be just as involved as everyone else. Your offering is equally as important. By filling out what you have done or given of time (volunteering, helping family member, community service etc.), talent (helping during mass, lector, choir, altar servers etc.) or even some have even dropping a dollar ot two as your treasure, you become an active member of this parish community.
The back of the card is used for prayer intentions. If on any given week you have something you want us to pray for or offer up you can write it on the back of the card. A basket will be placed on the altar with the cards so that the community can pray for those intentions as well.
Life Nights
At Life Nights, we go deeper into our faith, and discuss how the teachings of Jesus apply to our life. The focus of Life Nights is to integrate our faith with our experiences. Life Nights cover catechetical, social and issue related nights that are 100% Catholic and comprehensive. There are four main segments of a Life Night derived from the mass; Gather, Proclaim, Break, and Send.
Every Life Night is different. There is always snacks, laughter and great people! Typically, the night includes a skit or game, a talk, small group discussion, and prayer.
The goal of the Life Nights are to help develop and maintain a personal relationship with Jesus.
