2016 Confirmation Retreat November 18-20:
“You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be my witness…” -Acts 1:8
At St. Mary’s we are implementing the Lifeline Model to our Confirmation Program. We will be using a variety of Confirmation Resources including our own programming. Some of the resources we use throughout St. Mary’s Confirmation Preparation is Life Teen’s Oneight, Ascension Press’ Chosen, and St. Mary’s Press’ Confirmed in a Faithful Community.
Confirmation at St. Mary’s is a two year program, that usually begins with our Grade 8 Lifeline Youth Ministry Program. Lifeline utilizes experiential, relational, and systematic methods that engage teenagers in their faith while presenting doctrinally sound teachings rooted in the Catechism and Sacred Scripture. Through engaging presentations of the faith, both through in-class sessions and online lessons teenagers are invited into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and challenged to become life-long disciples over the course of the 2 years.
The Confirmation Program has several components. Some of the components are; weekly Mass attendance, Life Nights, Days of Reflection, 3 Day Retreat, Community Service, and a few others. For a comprehensive overview of St. Mary’s Oneight scroll down to forms and click on Information and Requirements.

2016-2017: Theme: Beautiful Mercy
This year’s theme is a continuance of last year’s “Consumed by Grace.” Last year we got to know Christ more deeply and understand that He is filled with Love and Mercy. His Mercy extends beyond anything that we could have possible done or where we’ve been. He offers his forgiveness no matter path we’ve taken or who we have become. He desires to offer us His Grace, Mercy and most importantly his Love.
This year our theme focuses on now taking that message out into the world. To share that love and mercy with everyone we meet. To become the hands and feet of Christ here on earth and to serve everyone we meet in the same way that Christ did on His earthly journey. Check out the video below for more information regarding our theme and song for this year!
