“A Welcoming Catholic Community promoting our faith, sharing our gifts, and serving all, in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Welcome to Saint Mary Parish! As the pastor, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our parish website. The parish of Saint Mary’s is a vibrant community of faith that seeks to know Jesus by bearing witness to his presence in the world and participating in the Mission to spread the Gospel, the Good News. That is our baptismal call and sharing it should bring us immense hope and joy.

There are many “ministries” and ways that our parishioners can give and receive. It is my sincere hope that as you get to know the community, you will be moved by the Spirit to find a way to “fit in” and make yourself at home. If you are new to Saint Mary’s and would like to register as a new parishioner, please click “registration” to fill out the form or to print a registration form that you can mail in, we will respond in writing. You can also pick up a registration form at the main entrance of the church should you wish to register in that fashion.

If there is any way that I might assist you or if you have any questions or concerns, I would encourage you to seek me out or any member of the parish staff. I am only a phone call or an “email” away and serving the needs of this portion of God’s Vineyard brings me great joy.

Dear Parishioners,

In April 2015, Bishop da Cunha created a Parish Pastoral Task Force and a Catholic Education Task Force to study and make recommendations for the future or our diocesan parishes and schools. The Task Forces are made up of priests, deacons, and lay people selected by the Bishop based on consultations and recommendations with and from people around the diocese. With the creation of the Task Forces, the diocese embarked on a serious pastoral planning effort in order to ascertain the health of each parish and school in the diocese.

The Parish Pastoral Task Force, created to study our diocesan parishes, has created two surveys, which will help further the study of the parishes of the diocese. The Parish Evaluation of Criteria for Planning survey will be completed here in the parish by a core pastoral team selected by (me). The other survey is to be completed by you our faithful parishioners. Both surveys focus on the following measures of church life: Sacramental Life; Catholic Faith Formation; Community; Serving Those in Need; and Effective Administration. It is highly encouraged that all parishioners, young and not so young, complete this survey.

The parishioner survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. The survey can be accessed by clicking here. Instructions for completing the survey are on the landing page of the survey. The survey is completely confidential. I ask you to take the survey seriously so that the Task Force can better understand your perspective on the life of our parish. Please complete the survey by Tuesday May 31, 2016. Results of the survey will be shared sometime in the fall after careful analysis.

Please join me in praying for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we complete our surveys in the continuation of the study of the parishes of our diocese. Please contact us if you have any questions.

                                                                                               Thank You,
